Moorefield homes
Kenny Lyon’s said he hated to tear down these two old buildings in Moorefield, but they were both beyond repair. He believes the Victorian style house was built by Dr. Kash in 1897. Written on the plaster were the names, D.W. McDonald and Ben Fitch, paperhangers and painters, Flemingsburg, KY Sept. 15, 1897. He traced the deed of the other house as far back as 1883 to T.C. Herendon and Minnie Adams but doesn’t know the exact date the house was built.
