Dinner Bell hosts Customer Appreciation Day

The Dinner Bell Country Market hosted its annual Customer Appreciation Day, Sept. 15 and 16, in Flemingsburg.

Hundreds of store patrons took advantage of the bargains during the two-day event, which also featured free gifts and samples.

Owner Leon Esh said crowds were very good on Friday, and were very strong Saturday morning, when nearly 75 people gathered before the doors opened and speaker David Johnson kept everyone laughing and spoke of the amazing products The Dinner Bell Country Market had to offer.

“We were very pleased with the event. It was a success,” Esh said. “We appreciate the business and support. We enjoyed getting to talk with all of our customers and we consider them our friends.”

And many of the friends of the business who took advantage of the sale also received free samples, doughnuts, coffee and entered chances for prizes offered for those who registered.

The winners were: Shawn Lemaster, who received one pound of city ham; Wanda Muse won the Rada knife set; Rebecca Rapp who won the wall motto art; and Kathy Goodman won the grand prize—a picnic table.

Mr. Esh spoke about why he thought the business was thriving.

“With the store being along the main road (1532 Maysville Road), it makes for easy access, and that adds to some of our success, but we believe more than anything that service is the biggest part of it. We have passion, quality products and we care about our customers. It’s a special experience at The Dinner Bell; that’s what we aim for, it’s a country store and that’s what it’s all about.”

The business continues to grow.

“One of our plans for the future is that we hope to bring our complete home cooked lunches back on a certain day each week, we will do the best we can.”

Esh said he was very pleased to serve the community.

“I want to express such a huge thank you to the community for the support these last few years, we truly appreciate you, come by and see us!”
