Lin’s Brunch-N-Lunch recently opened for business at 765 Mt. Sterling Road in Flemingsburg.

Linda Clifford Corns, a Lewis County native, has always wanted to open her own business and after life threw her a curve ball, she decided to move forward with her dream.

“After a tragic divorce, I moved to Fleming County to start a new life and to be near my son, Mason, and daughter Jennifer and my grandchildren,” Linda said. “I have always wanted to open a soup and sandwich shop. I spent about six weeks looking at available locations but when I came into this building and went into the kitchen area, my eyes went immediately to a small framed picture of Jesus that was sitting on a back shelf and I knew right then this was the right place to open my restaurant. So, in May we got busy cleaning the building from top to bottom, scrubbing every nook and cranny. The outside and inside got a fresh new coat of paint and we made a few changes to the inside. When it came time to decide a décor theme my inspiration came from a set of dishes that I had fallen in love with, so I chose to decorate in a country theme with a little touch of cozy elegance. It can be rather overwhelming as a single woman to open a business in a small town, but I have put my heart and soul into my dream,” Linda said. “I have six employees that I have handpicked to help make this dream a success. Lauren Overby, Elizabeth Smith, Nathan Richardson, Jamie Salsbury, Heather and Andrea Morgan make up my staff of employees and are ready to serve you.”
