Franklin Sousley Museum announces newest exhibit
The Franklin Sousley Museum’s newest exhibit is a 1941 Buick Special Staff Car. Staff cars were essentially civilian passenger cars used by the military for carrying high-ranking officers, messengers and performing administrative functions.
During World War II, civilian automobiles were taken from the production line and painted to suit the particular service. General Douglas McArthur had several staff cars, one of which was identical to the 1941 Buick.
Everyone is welcome to come see our new staff car and to visit the Franklin Sousley Museum located at Military Adventure Camp at Camp Sousley, 1083 Mt. Hope Road, Flemingsburg.
