NATIONAL FCCLA WEEK February 12-18, 2017


Each year, FCCLA chapters across the nation set aside one week to recognize this unique student organization. FCCLA, which stands for Family, Career and Community Leaders of America, gives its members opportunities to develop leadership and life skills, while helping them learn the importance of being involved in their school and community. These opportunities are preparing young people for the role of leaders in the future.

The Bath, Fleming, Nicholas and Mason County FCCLA chapter’s are included in more than 10,000 chapters nation wide that are observing this special week with activities that will allow others to see how their background in Family and Consumer Sciences, and involvement in the Family, Career and Community Leaders of America organization, is benefiting them now while helping them work towards building a better tomorrow.

Bath County FCCLA 2016-17 officers are Carrie Staviski, Hannah Harmon, Elizabeth Thomas, Jade Perkins, Darlene Martinez, Katelyn Sorrell, Laken Sparks, Deana Willoughby, Haley Frizzle, Alyssa Williams, Matthew Woodard, Sierra Brooks and Larissa Mitchell.

Fleming County FCCLA 2016-17 officers are Mackenzie Fryman, president; Morgan Applegate, first vice president; Allie Thomas, vice president finance; Brooke Lytle, vice president individual programs; Aerin Cho, vice president membership; Brie Emmons, vice president STAR events; John Adams, vice president peer education; Katie Jett, vice president public relations; and Madalyn Higgins, vice president community service. Abbie Thomas is FCHS junior officer.

Mason County 2016-17 FCCLA officers are Demarion Johnson, president; Faith Turner, first vice president; Meredith Hartman and Abby Spencer - Jr. VP of community service; Emily Toombs and Olivia O’Hearn- Jr. VP of finance; Alexa Jenkins and Brooke Smith- Jr. VP of individual programs; Briana McNutt, Page Lykins and Noah Dunaway- Jr. VP of membership; Marissa Scilley, VP of Parliamentary Law; Samantha Stricklett and Josh Coleman- Jr. VP of Peer Education; Leeanna Holler and Maegan Jones- Jr. VP of Public Relations; Krishna Jones and Hannah Applegate- Jr. VP of STAR Events; Meredith Carpenter, Honor Roll Chairperson. Nicholas County 2016-17 FCCLA officers are: Trent Letcher, president; Grace Kiskaden, vice president; Audri Hughes, VP of community service; Logan Stafford, VP of finance; Kayley Letcher, VP of development; Haley George and Maddie Allison, VP of membership; Emmy Saunders and Bri Barnett, VP of programs; and Macey Randolph, VP of public relations.
