Fruit Growing Seminar Jan. 17

A local fruit growing seminar is set to take place Tuesday, Jan. 17, at the Nicholas County Extension Office, 368 E. Main Street in Carlisle from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.

David Schlbach of Medina, New York will present the program to share his knowledge and information to those who would like to grow fruit trees or berries for personal use or for profit.

Dave is the owner and operator of Schlbach’s Nursery where he and his family sell fruit trees and fruit bearing plants and has been in business since 1992.

He has written a starter book for the Backyard Fruit Grower which covers everything from variety selection, planting, pruning, spraying and harvesting.

The seminar will be a two-hour program in which Schlbach plans to share his easy techniques and fascinating facts to help your fruit flourish.
