Lady Cats finish runner-up in Whitefield Christmas Classic
Bath County Lady Cats McKenna Moore and Abigail Henderson earned all-tournament honors at the Whitefield Christmas Classic.
The Bath County Lady Cats picked up some hardware over the Christmas break, finishing runner-up in the Whitefield Christmas Classic.
After claiming back-to-back wins over Shawnee and tournament host Whitefield Academy, Bath County fell to Sayre in the tournament title game.
At the conclusion of the Whitefield Christmas Classic, Bath County Lady Cats McKenna Moore and Abigail Henderson were named to the all-tournament team.

Bath County 72, Shawnee 59: McKenna Moore scored a game-high 36 points to lead Bath County past Shawnee 72-59 in the first round of the Whitefield Christmas Classic on Wednesday, Dec. 28.
Bath County shot 52.3 percent (23-of-44) from the field. The Lady Cats shot 78.6 percent (22-of-28) from the free throw line.
Accompanying Moore in double figures and adding a double-double, Abigail Henderson scored 19 points and grabbed a game-high 13 rebounds for the Lady Cats.
Other scorers for Bath County were Alexandria Faudere (six points), Kylen Messer (four points), Kelsey Roberson (four points), Jesselin Miller (two points) and Morgan McNabb (one point).
Bath County 66, Whitefield Academy 56: Bath County knocked off tournament host Whitefield Academy in the second round of the Whitefield Christmas Classic, winning 66-56 on Thursday.
The Lady Cats shot 89.3 percent (25-of-28) from the free throw line in the winning effort.
Leading the way for Bath County, McKenna Moore scored a game-high 32 points.
Abigail Henderson was the only other Lady Cat to join Moore in double figures, finishing with 10 points.
Kylen Messer and Kelsey Roberson contributed eight points apiece for the Lady Cats. Messer led Bath County on the backboards, grabbing a game-high 13 points.
Alexandria Faudere and Morgan McNabb netted three points apiece, while Haley Stephens chipped in two points for the Lady Cats in the hard-fought win.
Sayre 63, Bath County 42: Sayre pulled away to beat Bath County 63-42 in the championship game of the Whitefield Christmas Classic at Whitefield Academy on Friday.
Bath County shot only 38.1 percent (16-of-42) from the field in the loss. The Lady Cats were 7-of-14 (50 percent) from 3-point range, faring well beyond the arc.
Bath County featured a trio of scorers in double figures. McKenna Moore scored 14 points, Kelsey Roberson 12 points and Alexandria Faudere 10 points for the Lady Cats.
Abigail Henderson (five points) and Morgan McNabb (one point) provided additional scoring for Bath County in the title tilt.
