Tim’s Toy Trot for Tots helping families in need
The 28th annual Tim’s Toy Trot for Tots will be held Saturday, Dec. 3, at 5 a.m. In rain, snow or sleet, the runners — Tim Bailey, Shawn Tolle and additional volunteers, will begin a 50-mile trek in order to raise awareness and help families in need at Christmas. It is expected to take approximately 12 hours to complete. In years past, the route was from Fayette County Courthouse to the Bath County Courthouse, 52 miles via U.S. 60.
Weather and safety reasons have now recessitated a new route for the runners. The miles will be completed in Owingsville.
This event is designed to help families that are struggling have an enjoyable Christmas. The holiday is brighter when watching children’s expressions as they hurry to find the goodies Santa has left for them. That is what we want to do with your help … allow children to experience the blessings and joys of Christmas.
In the past 27 years Tim’s Toy Trot for Tots campaign ahs been a great success. This event has helped many, many families each year. Because of you we have been able to touch many people of Bath County and help them enjoy a merry Christmas.
