The Farmer’s Daughter offers primitive home decor and more
At 271 South Main Cross you will find the Farmers Daughter; a new shop that offers a wide selection of Primitive home decor and antiques.
As a country girl herself, owner Kelly Morris feels right at home in a retail shop that carries items to decorate your home with country style.
“ I was raised on a dairy farm and I’ve always loved primitives and old farm antiques. It’s been a dream of mine to open a store for everyone to enjoy”, Kelly said.
Kelly has filled her shop with a variety of items such as red and blue spatter ware, trunks,braided rugs, curtains and quilts.
Accent pieces such as table runners, place-mats, braided area rugs, metal stars, and candles, are just a few of the items you will discover in the new shop.
Metal wash tubs, a vintage wringer washing machine and laundry room decorations can be found on the sales floor as well.
In addition to home decor, The Farmer’s Daughter offers a selection of children s items by Amy Graff, Licensed FFA shirts and a selection of bereavement items.
The shop also carries farmhouse tables and wooden cupboards that have been handcrafted by local carpenters.
Layaway and free local delivery are offered as well.
Kelly is a 1996 graduate of Fleming County High School, she lives with her husband Wayne and son Seth on a farm in Mason County. She his the daughter of Donald and Margie Bays.
Kelly said her passion is farming, so she earned her bachelors degree in Agri-business last year.
Along with the day to day tasks of being a small business owner, Kelly also works at the Fleming County Animal Hospital where she has been employed for the past 17 years.
